A pupil of Jacques Derrida, he introduced this author&#8217;s thought in Italy with the translations of <em>La voix et le ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne<\/em> (Jaca Book 1968; 2010) and <em>De la grammatologie<\/em> (Jaca Book 1969; 2012). From the problems of the subject of discourse and the genesis of meaning in the debate on nihilism, his interests have turned to the question of the structure of rationality in relation to ethics in Greek and Augustinian thought and, more recently, in Hegel&#8217;s thought.<br \/>\nHe has taught at the University of Calabria and the University of Rome &#8216;Tor Vergata&#8217;.<br \/>\nHe is a member of the Teaching Board of the Doctorate in Philosophy at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa and of the Doctorate in Intercultural Humanistic Studies at the University of Bergamo. He is the author of various essays and a member of the Scientific Committee of <em>Phasis.
