Faculty of Theology
A Finnish native, Fr Oskari has studied in Helsinki, London, and Rome, and holds doctorates in law, economics, and theology. Ordained in 2016, he teaches fundamental theology at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome). His research is divided between two main fields: first, the historical development and theological significance of the metaphor of the book of nature, especially in patristic thought; second, science and religion, with particular reference to neuroscience and cognitive psychology in dialogue with patristic and Thomistic thought. He has been a visiting research at University of Oxford’s Faculty of Theology and Religion, and is an affiliate fellow of the Augustinian Resemblances project at Oxford University, as well as a Senior Reader of the Canterbury Institute in Oxford.
