Gennaro Luise

He graduated in Philosophy from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan and a PhD in ‘Philosophy and History of Ideas’ from the University of Catania. Associate Professor of Metaphysics at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, he is Vice-Dean and Coordinator of the orientation and promotion activities of the same Faculty. He was Visiting Scholar at the UFR de Philosophie de l’Université Paris 1.

He is a member of the Editorial Board of “Acta Philosophica” (A journal – Anvur) and Director of the ‘Métaphysique, Théologie et Spiritualité’ series of the Presses Universitaites Rhin & Danube (France). He is currently PI of the international project ‘Rediscovering the individual: misadventures, drifts and returns of a fundamental notion. An inquiry into a reshaped metaphysics’.
His research interests focus on metaphysics and logic in authors from modern philosophy and analytic philosophy.
