Lubomir Žak

Born in Trenčín (Slovakia) on 23 October 1964. Ordained a Catholic priest on 16 June 1990, he is a member of the Christkönigs-Institut secular institute in Meitingen (Germany), founded by the martyr priest Max J. Metzger.

He is full professor of dogmatic theology in the Faculty of Theology of Saints Cyril and Methodius at the Palacký University in Olomouc (Czech Republic), a former professor (from 1998 to 2022) at the Pontifical Lateran University and a visiting professor at the Pontifical Catholic Universities of Curitiba and Porto Alegre (Brazil). He is a member of numerous scientific committees of Italian and international series, journals and research projects. His study interests include systematic theology, theological epistemology, Russian Orthodox theology, Martin Luther’s theology, ecumenism, the thought of M.J. Metzger and, above all, Trinitarian ontology, its development, its main protagonists and its epistemological and theological applications. He is editor of the Italian translations of the theological writings of P.A. Florensky.
